Working for Justice, Peace, and Human Dignity
The Spiritan Social Justice Ministry is committed to addressing the root causes of poverty, inequality, and injustice in Ghana. Inspired by Catholic Social Teaching, we work to create a more just and compassionate society where every person can flourish.
Our ministry focuses on both immediate relief for those in need and long-term solutions that transform social structures. We believe that working for justice is an essential part of proclaiming the Gospel.
Spiritan social justice work is characterized by:
Promoting and protecting the fundamental rights of all people, especially the most vulnerable members of society.
Empowering communities through education, skills training, and sustainable livelihood programs.
Addressing environmental degradation and promoting sustainable practices that protect both people and planet.
Providing access to clean drinking water through boreholes and water purification systems in rural communities.
Mobile clinics and health education programs reaching remote areas with limited medical services.
Vocational training and micro-enterprise development for economic empowerment of vulnerable groups.
Community workshops and school programs teaching about fundamental human rights and responsibilities.
Programs promoting women's rights, girls' education, and equal opportunities for all genders.
Awareness campaigns and support services for victims of human trafficking and modern slavery.
Education and action programs addressing climate change, deforestation, and sustainable agriculture.
